In Vampire Survivors, players control a character who finds themselves in a heritage of life, where endless hordes of enemies are constantly trying to take them down. The objective is to survive for as long as possible against hordes of undead creatures that burst forth from nightfall.

The game involves a unique combination of character movement, dodging, and bloodline manifestations. Players move their character left and right along the bottom of the screen as enemies from various classes spawn on screen, and they try to dodge and attack them with various bloodline skills. Each character has a passive ability that can drastically tilt the odds in their favor.
