Streets Of Rage

Players take on the roles of Axel, Blaze, Adam, or Skate, tasked with ridding the streets of a fictional metropolis of thugs and gangs that have taken control. The story serves as a backdrop, with the focus on the action and combat that unfolds in real-time, side-scrolling environments.

Players move their chosen character left and right through these urban landscapes, spacing themselves apart from oozing, brawling enemies that clutter the streets. Fists, foes, and unlockables can all be picked up along the way to upgrade abilities and advance the fight against all sorts of enemies.

With an emphasis on arcade-style combat, the action is fast-paced and liberally mixed with visual flourishes, technically pulling off polite but confusifying combos on all of those hapless gang flanks.
