In Stacklands, players engage in a tactical battle with cards. Character cards are collected and combined to create decks, each uniquely suited to a specific playstyle. Strategies are built around various card combinations, for example by focusing on creatures, spells, or artifacts.

Players progress through a procedurally generated map, unleashing their deck upon enemies to deplete their health and achieve victory. Characters defeated provide synergies and new cards, expanding the player's deck and strategy options. The core interaction of the game lies in matching and combining the strengths of each card earned through progression.

Stacklands runs in the browser without the need for downloads or registration. Strategists must use the cards at their disposal to overcome the challenges that the game presents, navigating themes of cooperation and confusion as they seek to defeat enemies and adapt to new combat circumstances.
