Pixel Sumo

Pixel Sumo is a physics-based puzzle game where players control a sumo wrestler-sized pixelated character. The objective is to navigate a perched sumo wrestler through increasingly complex levels, making use of impromptu splatters and creatures that come into the wrestler's path. Each level features different environments and distractions, obliging the player to manage the sumo's speed and orientation to succeed. Hitting obstacles could result in a bump, launch, or slow-down, requiring players to plan their moves carefully. The player must shift the sumo's mass to rollover slippery surfaces or to avoid imminent danger. Levels consist of an otherworldly terrain, with rolling stones, moving platforms, and final units. The player achieves success by balancing momentum to accurately launch the sumo and reduce the distance it travels. It's possible to test different tactics in each attempt. The game runs in the browser, requiring no download or registration and allowing players to play in virtually any time.
